Obituary JoAnn Bush Pickerell, age 89 of Tompkinsville, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at  St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN.She was born October 28, 1925 in Red Boiling Springs, TN to the late Oscar David Bush and Olene Dell Allen Bush. She was a retired social worker for the State of Kentucky, and Co-Founder of Monroe County Memorial Lawn Cemetery.  She was united in marriage on September 5, 1955 to Bernard Pickerell who  preceded her in death on March 25, 2015.She is survived by one daughter: Suzanne Conkin of Tompkinsville, two granddaughters: Allyson Conkin Dix of Glasgow, KY, Phoebe Bartlett of Louisville, KY, one great granddaughter: Stella Kate Dix of Glasgow, KY, two brothers: Kenneth Bush of Nashville, TN, Bobby Bush of Red Boiling Springs, TN, three sisters: Peggy Bush, Mary Hudson and Beverly Gregory all of Red Boiling Springs, TN.In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one daughter: Cynthia Bartlett, four brothers: Billy, Faye, Tommy, and Paul Bush, three sisters: Sandra Bush, Charlene Bean, and Sue Bilbrey.Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, July 24 at the Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in Monroe County Memorial Lawn in Tompkinsville.Visitation will be after 5:00 PM on Thursday and after 7:30 AM Friday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.Memorial are suggested to the American Cancer Society To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of JoAnn Bush Pickerell please visit our Sympathy Store.
