Marcella Shepherd Rhoades

Obituary Marcella Shepherd Rhoades, age 71, of Scottsville passed away Friday, June 12, 2015 at her home. She was born on February 22, 1944 to the late Artie and Marie (Pyles) Shepherd. She was a retail manager of Jr. Foods of Scottsville. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Roy Rhoades, of Scottsville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son: Greg Jones of Scottsville, one step-son: Leroy Rhoades, of St. Louis, three daughters: Melissa Thomas, Sherry Broady, and Kim Woods all of Scottsville, two step-daughters: Debbie Calbreath and Lynn Rhoades, of St. Louis, One brother: Charlie Shepherd of Lexington, two sisters: Phyllis Blevins of West Palm Beach Florida and Pearl Reynolds of Ohio. Nine grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and four great grandchildren also survive. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother Artie Jr. Shepherd and one sister Bernice Burkhart.Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Strode Funeral Home in Scottsville with burial to follow in the Crescent Hill Cemetery.Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13th from 1:00 to 7:00 PM, Sunday, June 14th from 1:00 to 6:00 PM, and on Monday, June 15th from 8:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM at the Strode Funeral Home in Scottsville.
