Obituary Oneita Genell Hanks Burnette, 76, of Tompkinsville passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville.She was born October 16, 1939 in Monroe County, KY to the late Johnnie T. Hanks and Nellie Mae Ferguson Hanks. She was a retired garment factory worker and a member of Camp Ground Methodist Church. She was united in marriage on May 3, 1975 to Ralph Burnette.She is survived by her husband Ralph Burnett, two daughters: Rosie Davis and Evette Wilson all of Tompkinsville, two brothers: Kenneth Hanks of Nashville, Mark Hanks of Lobelville, TN, two sisters: Linda Walker of Summer Shade, Brenda Maxfield of Allons, TN, 8 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons: Don Mark and Brian Kenny Wilson, one sister: Pamela Joy Jones and a great granddaughter: Kensley Wilson.Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 29 at 10:30 AM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the Clementsville Cemetery in Clay County, TN.Visitation will be after 12:00 PM on Thursday and after 6:00 AM on Friday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.
