Obituary Opal Coons Crawford, 85, of Indianapolis, IN formerly of Clay County, TN, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in Indianapolis.She was born July 5, 1930 in Clay County, TN to the late Bedford Coons and Marinda Butler Coons. She was a homemaker and a member of Garfield Heights Church of Christ. She is survived by two daughters: Betty Speight and husband Danny of Greenwood, IN, Carmelita Cross and husband Steve of Indianapolis, IN, one brother: Princeton Coons of Red Boiling Spgs.,TN,, five grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Isaac Crawford, one daughter: Louise Crawford, seven brothers: Buford, Clifton, Edward and Leslie Coons, Mitchell, Tony and Clovis Coons, five sisters: Estelle Cherry, Bertha Crawford, Gerturde Hatcher, Suzette Dixon and Annette York and step mother: Wilma Biles.Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 20 at 1:00 PM at Strode's Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel with burial to follow in Union Hill Cemetery at Union Hill, TN. Greg Strong officiating.Visitation will be after 11:00 AM on Friday, May 20 at Strode's Gamaliel Chapel.
