Porter Rich

Obituary Porter Rich, 89, of Red Boiling Spgs., TN, formerly of Monroe County, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville. He was born October 21, 1924 in Monroe County, KY to the late Hulet Rich and Ova Mae Grace Rich. He was a retired logger. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wives Olene Crowe Rich and Elsie Turner Rich, eight brothers: Jimmie, Sr., Fred, Willie, Elzie, Jasper, Murphy, Frank and Walter Rich, four sisters: Lillie Copass, Evie Curtis, Lydia Durham and Julia Rich. He is survived by a sister-in-law: Kathy Rich of Tompkinsville,Several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, September 29, at 10:00 AM at the Moore Cemetery in Clay County, TN. Visitation will be after 9:00 AM on Monday at Strode Funeral Home.
