Obituary Ricky David Burks 61, of Tompkinsville passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017 at his residence in Tompkinsville.He was born March 27, 1956 in Monroe County to the late Ernest Burks and Burdean Turner Hartman. He was retired from Burks-Travco, Belden Wire & Cable, and NAPA Automotive. He was united in marriage on November 28, 1974 to the former Brenda Hall.He is survived by his wife: Brenda Burks, one son: David Burks of Tompkinsville, two brothers: Doug Burks and wife Sandy of Tompkinsville, Darin Burks of Iuka, MS, two sisters; Sandra Thompson and husband Terry of Louisville, KY, Paula Hall and husband Scotty of Red Boiling Springs, brothers and sister-in-law: J. C.and Naomi Hall of Bowling Green, Wayne and Barbara Miller, Betty Jo Hall and Joe Fred Butler, Michael and Bonita Hollinsworth all of Tompkinsville, Foster mother: Reba Ballard of Tompkinsville, mother-in-law: Olivia Hall and several nieces and nephews also survive.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers: James Terry "Stoney" Burks, Jerry Clay Burks, father-in-law: Edgar Hall and nephew: Jared Hall.Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, May 23 at 4:30 PM at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery.Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday and after 8:00 AM on Tuesday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.Memorials are suggested to the Bethlehem Cemetery or Turner Cemetery.
