Obituary Susan Kay Carlson Mesker, 62, of Tompkinsville, KY formerly of Gibson City, IL, passed away Monday, January 26, 2015 at her home. She was born April 7, 1952 in Bloomington, IL to Margaret Steinbach Carlson and the late Rueben Carlson. She was a homemaker and a member of Lyons Chapel Church of Christ. She is survived by her mother: Margaret Carlson of Gibson City, IL, four daughters: Margie Cleary of Tompkinsville, Ann Kang, Tammie Verdeyen and Joyce Verdeyen all of IL, one brother: John Carlson of Gibson City, IL, one sister: Carla Moxley of Gibson City, IL and four grandchildren. There will be no visitation or funeral service since cremation was chosen by the family. Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville in charge of arrangements.
